Monrovia, Liberia: The National Youth Assembly of the People’s Liberation Party or PLP is calling for the resignation of its political leader Dr. Daniel Cassell.
Dr. Daniel E. Cassel is currently in the United States of America undergoing an investigation on criminal charges against his company.
Dr. Daniel E. Cassel who is the political leader of the People’s Liberation Party was arrested in Georgia on March 17, 2022, as a Fugitive from Justice.
Dr. Cassell, company according to sources, allegedly created fake vouchers for clients to the insurance company multiple times in the tone of US$3.7 million, most of the funds, according to investigators, were funneled through his Cassell Foundation – the foundation through which he carries out his philanthropic activities.
But the authority of the People’s Liberation Party recently publicly rubbish media reports that the party-political leader Dr. Daniel Cassell has been indicted in the United States, describing the report as ‘’complete negative propaganda’’, assuring citizens members of the party and citizens of his possible return to Liberia shortly
It can be recalled on Wednesday, September 21, some newspapers and online platforms in Monrovia reported that Dr. Cassell, the President and Chief Executive Officer of the New Jersey-based mental health, behavioral, and substance abuse agencies, Kwenyan Professional Health Services, LLC and Kenyan and Associates, has been formally indicted by a Grand Jury in the United States.
But reacting to the information, PLP through a release issued said the information of Dr. Cassell’s indictment is propaganda orchestrated by some individuals who the party referred to as failed politicians.
But speaking Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at the News Conference in Monrovia, the youth assembly Secretary General Kelvin Volar urged Dr. Cassell to step aside until he is clear from his criminal indictment.
According to our reporter, the youth assembly came after a heated meeting with party executives and officials that lasted for over four hours at the Rose Garden Plaza in central Monrovia.
Volar who was also threatened with being suspended by officials noted that Dr. Cassell’s criminal case has a serious negative impact on the party and its supporters across the world.
” We can even discuss critical national issues least to about integrity because we do not have the moral to do so due to our political leader’s criminal charges in America” Volar explained angrily.
The Montserrado County District eight representative aspirant believes that PLP which stands for integrity must practice and uphold the issue of moral values and integrity.
The National Elections Commission on December 21, 2020, officially accredited and subsequently certificated the People’s Liberation Party as a new full-fledged political party in Liberia.
