Liberia’s men’s under-17 delegation leaves for Austria

A 31-man Liberia Football Association (LFA) men’s under-17 delegation left the Roberts international airport outside Monrovia for Vienna, Austria on 21 June.

It is headed by LFA First Vice President Sekou Konneh and includes executive committee member Ivan Brown.

Others are head coach Ansu Keita, deputy coach Rashidi Williams, physical trainer Dominic Savice, goalkeeping coach Chris K. Wesseh, administrative manager Eric Panton, medic Anthony Roberts, equipment manager Alex B. Nelson and sports journalist Michael Solomon of Prime FM.

They will begin a weeklong tour against Austria Wien under-18 at 19:00GMT on 23 June and Red Bull Salzburg at 15:00GMT on 24 June in Lindabrunn.

First Vienna FC will be their next opponents at 15:00GMT at Home Warte in Vienna on 26 June.

Keita and team conclude their preparation against Rapid Wien under-18 at 16:00GMT at the Allianz Stadion in Vienna on 28 June.

It will be a good dress rehearsal ahead of July’s West African Football Union (WAFU Zone ‘A’) men’s under-17 Nations Cup qualifiers in Cape Verde.
