Days after government lawyers announced that they were dropping the case involving Mr Alexander Cummings allegedly altering the deformed CPP frame work document, the All Liberian Party has expressed serious frustration over the form and manner in which the CPP FrameWork Document alteration case was nolle prosequi by the Solicitor General Cllr Sayma Syrenius Cephus.
Nolle prosequi is a formal notice of abandonment by a plaintiff or prosecutor of all or part of a suit or action due to the lack of sufficient confidence.
Addressing a news conference Tuesday in Monrovia, Taylor Momo Chairman of the All Liberian Party said the Party sees the dismissal of the case as an affront by the Solicitor General.
He said as a complainant, the ALP was never notified prior to the dismissal of the case.
Mr. Momo used the occasion to call on the Solicitor General Cllr Sayma Syrenius Cephus to immediately rescind his decision on dismissing the case.
He said there is a compelling confidence that Mr. Cummings actually forged the CPP Framework document as such, the ALP is dissatisfy with the decision and wants the case to reopen.
