Report reaching HardTalk Liberia says at least ten communities in Grand Cape Mount County
have been affected by dangerous chemical used by Bea Mountain Mining Corporation.

According to report, the chemical used by the Company mistakenly spilled over into the Mafa River which is being used by several communities for drinking, cooking and washing purposes.

According to sources, the chemical which spilled over into the Mafa River killed fishes and dogs in the rivers.

Our sources further disclosed that residents of the affected communities have fled the community to seek refuge.

When contacted, Bea Mountain Community Relations Superintendent, Mr. Henry Vincent confirmed the incident, but said there is no intervention yet from the company
